Endowments

Landon at the Houston Texas Temple
Landon receieved his Endowments tonight at the Houston Texas Temple.  He asked Aaron Skidmore, a long time friend and leader for him, to be his escort.  His Grandma and Grandpa Anderson and Aunt Jodi Cunningham came to be with him also on this very special day.

We got all dressed up.  Then we went to his new favorite restaurant, China Star.  It's his favorite because he loves buffets, and the food is good.  We left for the temple on time, but got a late start there because no one thought to remind Landon to bring his temple recommends.  The session was at 8:00 PM, but he and Aaron had to be there by 6:30 PM.  Ooops!!!  We quickly took pictures before it got too dark.

It was an absolutely amazing experience and a most beautiful evening.

Landon's Mission Call

The BELOVED envelope came!

Landon's call came in the mail today.  I put it on the couch and, sure enough, he noticed it right off.  He decided to open it up tonight, so we quickly made arrangements.  We decided to go out to eat to celebrate beforehand.  He chose Golden Corral.  We were a good 20 minutes late getting back.  We had made sure the skype arrangement was working before we left, but it decided to give us fits once we had everyone waiting.  It took us a good 30 mintues to get it all working with all of the different gadgets.  We had both sets of grandparents and family on skype, and an Aunt and Uncle on the phone, and the Bishop sitting in the living room.  Plus, we had a camera recording it all and one taking pictures.  Technology is great...I think.  At least eventually it is once you get it doing what you need.

Landon Anderson has been called to serve in the Idaho Boise Mission.  It is English speaking.  He is so totally excited.  How perfect of a place for him!!!!!  That is family territory.  His Grandpa Cunningham was especially psyched as this is where he was born and raised.  I can't tell you the joy I felt as he read his call.  Check out the video of him reading his call and the pictures we took.

Mission Papers Update

Just received word that the status of Landon's Mission Papers went from "In Progress" to "Ready for Assignment."  The Missionary Committee meets on Thursdays, so he could have them make his assignment tomorrow.  We are all excited here.  He should have a call in his hand in a week or so.
